What's the cost of counseling?
Licensed counselors charge $95 per session. Non-licensed and license eligible counselors charge $75 per session. A session is approximately 50 minutes in length.
What's the difference between a licensed counselor and a nonlicensed counselor?
In reading the bios of each person on staff, you'll learn that each has varying degrees of higher education, credentials, and experience. A licensed counselor is one that has obtained master level education, completed 2000 hours of supervised clinical work, and has passed the Virginia state board licensure exam.
JCM is a 501(c)3 non‐profit ministry; and, therefore, does not accept third party payments. However, if you see a licensed counselor, he/she can work with you on how to file a claim with your insurance company and possibly receive reimbursement.
Our team offers private counseling sessions, support groups, and workshops. Each counselor has specialized areas ranging from marital and family to mood disorders to relationship problems. Check out our website menu that details what is offered. Find it here.
JCM's counselors embrace the desire to touch the soul and bring healing to wounded hearts. We focus on providing a safe environment, working toward a genuine relationship, and building a trusting rapport while offering sound biblical counseling. Our services are affordable, confidential, and we offer financial assistance to qualifying clients
Journey's Board of Directors and staff fund raise for donations that go directly into the "Client Assistance Fund." If you are not able to afford our services, the assigned counselor will problem solve with you. You may be eligible for financial assistance. This will be discussed and determined on a case‐by‐case basis.
Do you have credit/debit card payment?
We do not accept credit card or debit card payments. All payments are received at the time of the session by either cash or check. Checks are made out to Journey Counseling Ministries.
Do I have to be a Christian to receive services?
No. Anyone is welcome to receive services from JCM. Remember, however, we are Biblical counselors.
All sessions are arranged by appointment only. There are no regular business hours, however, our JCM number is always open for receiving messages and checked daily.
How do I schedule an appointment or contact JCM?
